President Erdogan meets with Putin

President Recep Tayyip Erdoan visits Russia’s Black Sea coast as part of a one-day work visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Erdogan appeared before members of the press at the Sanatorium Rus, where he would meet Putin.

Putin and Erdogan made statements.

The leaders, who have met face-to-face for the second time in the last two weeks, will join the meeting between delegations after a zig-zag meeting. Erdogan and Putin will exchange views on current global and regional issues as well as on Turkey-Russia bilateral relations.

The two leaders will discuss Turkey’s expected operations in northern Syria, Ukrainian grain exports, the latest state of the war and Nagorno-Karabakh, where tensions have escalated recently.

During his visit to Sochi, Erdoan was visited by Foreign Minister Mevlut Savusoglu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez, Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, Minister of Trade Mehmet Mus and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. Vahit Kirisky, Communications Chief Fahrettin Altun, Presidency Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin and MIT President Hakan Fidan.
